Retired Edison Firefighter Raymond Tibok dies at 58

EDISON, N.J., Aug. 12 (ZFJ) — Retired Edison Firefighter Raymond Tibok, 58, of Edison, died peacefully on Thursday, Aug. 8, at JFK Medical Center.

He was born in Perth Amboy and a lifelong resident of Edison. He served Edison as a firefighter for 30 years before retiring in 2022.

Tibok graduated from John P. Stevens High School in 1984.

“He loved fishing, working on cars, and playing southern rock with his guitar. He was a great mentor, a true craftsman, a great father, and a loving husband,” reads his obituary.

Tibok is predeceased by his parents, Emery and Joan Tibok.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Rosemarie Tibok; his son Ryan Joseph, daughter-in law Ashley, and granddaughter Madelyn Rose; his son Jonathan Raymond and daughter-in-law Jess; his son Evan James and daughter-in-law Bri; his mother-in-law Catherine Racioppi; and his dogs Cooper and Toby.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
